Controlling Your Indoor Cat’s Trips to the Kitchen
Tuesday, January 19th, 2010When your cat, with his sides swaying a bit, “strolls” into the kitchen to get some vittles at all hours, chances are he might
be “living the life of Riley” a little too much.
Not counting health issues, kitty may just be “at the kitty table” more than he ought to.
If this is your “pride and joy,” consider changing the number of times you feed your cat and when.
As well as the type and brand of food. Read the labels.
Ask your vet what foods are best for kitty at what stage in his life.
Of course, if he’s a “little con” cat like they can be (as is one of ours), he may have you thinking he’s not getting enough to eat—even though you know that’s not true.
Especially when you try to lift him.
So you may be inclined to want to feed him some of what you’re having. And which, more often than not, is not a good practice.
Yours in watching for swaying bellies,

P.S. If that’s the way it is at your house, it may be time to hit our Romper Room, or to take a trip over to Itty Bitty Shoppe for Kitty and check out some of the activities there.
