Helping Your Kitty Shake That Booty

Wednesday, January 20th, 2010

Like you, your cat needs physical exercise.

While she’s young, she pretty much makes her own exercise; running and jumping and chasing anything–from “ultra-red lights,” to scooting up and down the stairs and onto couches.

If you have more than one, you find they’re pretty good at entertaining themselves and at getting into double the trouble.

As your cat ages, though, you notice the exercise quotient tends to drop to some unfathomable number and she barely gets up to do much but eat, drink, sleep, and her “box duties!”

With health issues ruled out, some of that “lethargy” or “lazing around” might be because she’s bored—consider increasing your playtime with her.

Or, maybe it’s because it’s not as easy for her to move around–that belly gets in the way!

That said, especially with your cat solely inside, you are your cat’s keeper.

So it is your responsibility to keep her fed, exercised and well.

You may find that challenging in some instances, especially when you’re eating and your little kitty’s radar gets a whiff of your Big Mac!

Yours in keeping your kitty moving,
