Eat With Your Elbows OFF the Table
November 29th, 2009Author: Karen McGreevey“Ms. Manners” keeps telling me to “eat with my elbows OFF the table.”
Karen that is! But I really don’t know how that can be done.
Here’s the deal.
They feed the four of us so we each have our own plate. But they are “paper plates” and when I get to going to town with my food, sometimes the plate gets away from me. So I put my paw on the plate to hold it down.
And when I’m finished eating my food, I go to Mikey’s plate to finish off his. Paw on plate. Then on to Billy’s and then to Bowie’s.
But sometimes (most times, actually) Bowie is too slow when he eats, so I just go back to Billy’s plate. They even put us in different parts of the house when they feed us; I know it’s because they want to keep me away from the other plates.
I’ve been watching the way Bowie gets his food lately. He gives them these really pitiful looks (I think they’re called “puppy dog eyes”–can a cat have “puppy dog eyes?”) so they give him MORE food! The idea! Well now, I’ve made it my mission to be as close to Bowie as I can when it’s time to eat!
So, that’s my contribution to today’s “Kitten ‘n Things” talkin’.
Yours in kibbles and crunchies,
Jonny
P.S. Karen says she’s got a really neat book, “Choosing and Caring for a Cat Naturally” that’s yours just for leaving your name and email address in that box over there to the top-right of this page.
