I’ve said numerous times that Mikey likes to sit on my lap in order to try get my attention away from what I’m doing on the computer.

Often, he will “sit up” to watch what I’m doing.

This morning, though, Mikey climbed onto my lap, lay down and then put his head on the keyboard (as shown in the photo), stretching his neck.

Unfortunately, you can’t see too well what he’s doing…other than his head is partly on the keyboard.

It’s almost like he was too tired to hold his head up so used the keyboard as a “head holder”.

Sometimes when he will do this, he will put his head on my fingers so I can’t type!

P.S. Needless to say, he did catch my attention.

Last night, “The Boys” and I got somewhat of a cryptic message from Spitty at SpittySpeaks.

All he said was that we ought to drop by his site today.

Well, we did, and lo and behold, we discovered we had been nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award.

It’s a good thing today is “Wordless Wednesday”, as Billy
has “wordless” down pat.

He is very good at “just looking” at you.

Actually, he’s probably wondering what the thing is that I’m pointing at him that flashes. (It’s been a long time since I’ve had a camera around here.)

So here it is Sunday afternoon, and nobody pays any attention to
me!

As you can see, they’re all balls of fur, looking the other way, lost in thought.

This was supposed to be one of those “lazy Sunday afternoon” shots, and I suppose it is in some ways.

Although after looking at the result, it reminds me there are a couple things I ought to be doing besides snapping this photo.

P.S. It should be noted that for every “good” photo I get there are at least three or four that do not pass muster. I am also practicing getting shots of Mikey and Jonny. Oy!

That’s Mikey; “Monster” Extraordinaire!

This “wild child kitty” has been giving us all grief this morning. Running and jumping and chasing and ducking down hidey holes.

I think he’s got a bit too much energy to burn!

He even wanted out on the front porch so, he thought, he could watch the latest in bird TV. (They are nowhere in sight; they’re tucked in warm somewhere!)

Although I knew it was way too cold for Mikey to go out there, I opened the door and out he went. He “took a turn around” the inside of the porch, almost going up to the outside door, lifted up his front paw ’cause it got cold, and then scurried back in.

Even though the sun is out, we did have 3 degrees below zero last night and it has not yet warmed up all that much.

And so Mikey is now rethinking that going outside on the porch thing, as he’s finally settling down to take a nap…bath comes first, though!

P.S. I think I ought to send Mikey off to Amazon to see if he can find some new toys to play with. He needs a diversion of some sort.

I don’t suppose you can guess who I’m talking about in the “jump on, jump off” title above.

It’s Mikey…when he’s doing his best imitation of wanting me to get up in the morning to feed him.

He jumps onto the bed, “says a few words”, then jumps off. Over and over.

He is relentless, too. Until I get up.

Kitties and Beans,

I don’t know how you do it! Get photos of your kitties to post on your blog, I mean.

Case in point, Jonny is really cute when he eats, as he will put one front paw on the plate (to hold it, I suppose). So, I decided I’d get out the “new” camera and take a picture of him.

I got to the kitchen just in time to have him look up from eating, and look right at me! I took the “shot” and then reviewed the still. Jonny was not looking at me then, but rather he was facing the stove!

Good grief. So I tried again and this time I got a shot of him walking away, even though I know he was not walking away when I pushed the button.

Of course, “candid shots” are nice, but needless to say, I deleted all of those because they were not “postable”. I’ll keep trying, though.

Can you believe it, Kitties?

“The Boys” and I had a request from one of our kitty reader furriends to “update” our site with a new post and a new photo!

I did get a new digital camera. And I have discovered I am extremely good at getting good shots of some subjects; but with those I really want, not so much!

So I have to keep practicing.

In the meantime, I’m including a photo here of “The Boys” on their beloved front porch. Although it is too cold for them to watch bird TV from the porch ledge these days.

They are purring real hard that spring will come early so they can get out there very soon.
